Experienced Estate Agent Role (Full Time)
The Position:
Are you an Estate Agent looking to join an established and highly respected firm in the Scottish Borders?
Blackwood & Smith are seeking to expand our property team and are interested in recruiting an Experienced Estate Agent with proven leadership abilities to join our busy office in Peebles.
The Candidate:
This role offers a varied and challenging workload and would suit someone experienced in all aspects of residential property. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have a passion for property. Any experience in rural or commercial property will also be useful. The position offers a high degree of autonomy with responsibility for your own work. The right candidate will be capable of taking on management and leadership responsibilities, with a view to leading and developing our Estate Agency team in the near future.
Estate Agent Requirements:
- The ability to generate and carry out valuations
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Confident and Motivated
- Excellent customer care / customer service experience
- IT literate (MS Office, internet, case management software, email systems)
- Resilient, positive, organised, numerate and detail oriented
- The ability to manage own workload, well organised
- A Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

This is a Full-Time predominantly office-based role.
Private Client Role
The Position:
Are you a Private Client Solicitor looking to join an established and highly respected firm in the Scottish Borders?
Blackwood & Smith are looking to expand our Private Client team and are interested in recruiting a Solicitor to join our busy private client department at our office in Peebles
The Candidate:
This role offers a varied and challenging workload and would suit someone experienced in all aspects of Private Client including wills & powers of attorney, tax planning, asset and succession planning and executry work. A STEP qualification or a desire to work towards this would be valued. The position offers a high degree of autonomy with responsibility for your own clients and files.
