Tweedsmuir

The small village of Tweedsmuir lies nestled in a valley within the breath-taking Scottish Borders’ countryside, with magnificent rolling hills and burns on both sides – an outstanding setting for outdoor pursuits and notably home to ancient stones and religious sites. The village lies just 16 miles from the charming country town of Peebles and close to major roads for commuting further afield. Recognised as the ‘Top Independent Retailing Town in Scotland’, Peebles is home to a wealth of independent shops, in addition to supermarkets, including a Tesco superstore, banks, and a post office. High-end eateries, bars and cafés, as well as the Eastgate Theatre & Arts Centre are located in Peebles, with the town enjoying several annual festivals, including the Beltane Festival, the Peebles Jazz Festival and the renowned Arts Festival. Tweedsmuir itself also hosts the family friendly Tweedsmuir Music Festival once a year. A range of schools at state and primary level are available in the immediate surrounding area.
